5 Quick and Easy Stencilled Cards

Hello crafty Friends,

Sabiha Khan here  today! I am super  exited to share my first DT post the for Itsy Bitsy Blog. Hope to inspire you all with my creations.

As we all are confined to our homes due to the Corona Virus outbreak, this could be the best time to be creative, and I feel it would be great to make cards for sending it to your loved ones in this difficult hour.

So, today I have come up with some simple ideas to create cards using the newly released 4″ by 4″ stencils from ITSY BITSY. Here, I will show you the versatility of the small and cute stencils. Without wasting much time ………..Let’s get to crafting…….

Have a look at my Cards first…

My first card is……

Step by step :

For this card I have used a floral stencil. Stenciled the floral image using Lemon Squeeze, Primrose Garden and Palm Green pigment inks with ink blending tool on a white card base. Always remember that pigment inks take longer to dry, so wait for the inks to dry before proceeding further.

I also used fine liner pens to create an outline of the stenciled image.Took off the stencil and coloured the background using a blending tool.

I also added some green ink splatters on the card.

Stamped the sentiment from Clear stamp “Thankful” using jet black Archival ink. Finally adhered the card panel on a black card stock and then on a side folded card base.

My second card…….

Step by step

For this card I used Mixed media texture paste to stencil the floral image on a white card stock.

After drying the texture, I applied different pigment inks with a brush and water. To use these inks as colours, just dab the ink pad on a acetate sheet and use brush and water to apply the inks.

Next, I again used stencil to color the textured image with Caramel Cocoa  pigment inks.

Stamped the sentiment using Metallic inks. Also used “Sparkling Dotties” to embellish the card. Layered the card with yellow card stock and gold print pattern paper from the store. Finally adhered the card panel on a white, side folded card base.

My Third card is

Step by step

For this card I used the same stencil but on a coloured card stock. Took a red card stock as a base. Blended the stencil  image using  metallic gold inks. These inks are really awesome, as you can see the results on my card.

Used some “golden metallic micro beads” to embellish my card, For the sentiment Die cut the “HUGS” alphabet using Itsy Bitsy Alphabet dies with gold card stock and pasted them on the card.  Layered the card with golden glitter sheet and some red and gold pattern paper from ITSY BITSY. Finally adhered the ready card on a white side folding card base.

My fourth card is

Step by Step

For this card, I have used Paisley Mandala stencil 4″ by 4″. I ink blended the image using Lemon Squeeze, Berry Wine and Cranberry Tart pigment inks.

I used the Oval tag dies from the store to cut the tag for the sentiment. Also punched another hole on the opposite side of the tag so that I could adhere the tag using twine, Stamped the sentiment from the “Thankful” stamp set. Finally layered the card on  top folding Maroon card base.

My fifth and Final card

Step by Step

For this card I ink blended the leaves and branches from the “Tree Birdcage” stencil keeping the birdcage image masked. This way you can always stretch your supplies. After I was satisfied with the background, I ink blended the same ink i.e. Palm green with blending tool to colour the whole background. Blended some darker shades on the corners to give some interest to the card.

Took a white card stock and stamped small flowers and butterfly from “Shine Bright” stamp set.

Coloured and fussy cut them. Used ball tool n embossing pad from the store to shape the flowers.

Adhered them on the card and stamped the sentiment. Finally layered the card and mounted it on a white card base.

Hope I inspired you to make these beautiful cards using awesome mini stencils from Itsy Bitsy. See you all with some more inspirations in my next post. If you like my creations, don’t forget to leave your  comments.
