ALL U NEED IS TO FLY : A Mixed Media Album Cover

 HELLO WONDERFUL PEOPLE

The rains remind you of the sky turning from blue to black and then the sun pops to show us the rainbow ! So beautifully designed is Gods creation ! There is inspiration in anything and everything  under the sky is what I believe and all you need is a little imagination to identify your wings and to fly !

I am super  excited  to be a part of the Itsy Bitsy team and work alongside very talented ladies here and an amazing team . Thus today, I Just popped in to show you my latest DT project for ITSY BITSY using their new release PAPER CRAFTING MELODIES. Oh my goodness I just LOVE this collection too,  just like all their other ones and I also used a lot of other supplies from the store to finish it off (what I created is an album cover inspired from the paper pack which is my favorite in the entire store .

Lets check out few closeups first:

So for the project reveal :

This project is adorned with lots of handmade clay embellishments and thermocol balls and shimmery glitter .

A STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL :

I have taken a raw album as base. It was made of chipboard and cardstock…. I could actually never finish it until today 🙂

Gesso should be your best friend while doing mixed media projects as its the base for all  and the one from Mont Marte is super thick and gives good finish in one coat . The newly launched heat tool is amazing too.

After a random splatter of the alcohol splash and glitter pouring, these are how my flowers look . Then I cut and attached the fussy cutting from the paper pack. (love the quote)

Added little color (teal ). On my craft mat I used the splash and used my brushes to color the album. Kept it pastel and sprinkled lots of glitter and used scrapbooking glue to adhere the balls and used the glue gun to adhere the pearl mat.

To the hinge added pearl string and a satin ribbon bow. The store has beautiful collection of these satin ribbons . Awesome color range too!!

Using foam tape and sillicon glue attached embellishments from the Paper Crafting Melodies.  Also added few embellishments and crystals to finish the project .

This is what the finished project looks like .

I would love to hear from you all how you liked my project. Will be back soon with more….

Until then goodbye and happy crafting!
