Mukta here today at Itsy Bitsy’s blog to share with you a new and exciting project that I made. I created this lantern from scratch, using products from Itsy Bitsy store. This lantern measures 6 Inches on the sides at the base and 14 Inches in height. It tapers at the top and measures 3.5″ on all sides. The net weight is 750grams…so its pretty light but very sturdy.
It took me 4 days to design it and 15 days to build. Out of which, 2 days I just decorated it using gorgeous succulents from the stores. The succulents are a must have for every crafter!! To explore the entire range of the succulents please click HERE.
I have made this project for Itsy Bitsy and all the succulents you see here are available on their website as well as in their physical stores. These succulents are easy to use and are perfect for scrapbook layouts, architectural modelling, home decor projects, cards and other decor projects. They give any project a more naturalistic and unique look. They will also go well with the decor for theme parties like- Hawaiian, Tropical and Summer, Nature, Desert.
This is an image of the the finished project with lights off!
This is an image with the lights on…doesn’t it look cool??
Apart from these, I have used heavy weight chipboard, black cardstock, acetate sheet, vellum sheet, chipboard shapes, tinted metallic paints, sisal fiber, thermocol shapes, black gesso, heavy matt gel medium, craft glue….all from the store. Here are few close ups of the gorgeous succulents.
I have a small clip so you that can see this project better…I hope you all like it.
Keep crafting and be happy…till we meet next.
