Captured: True Beauty Scrapbook Layout

Hello Friends…

Rajni Chawla here. It’s an honor to be here on the board as a Guest Designer. Thanks for the opportunity to work with your fabulous team. As you all know, this month the theme for the blog challenge is ‘Spring’. It’s the season of flowers and life and the moments of true beauty are worth capturing. Today I have a shabby chic creation for you as an inspiration to play along with us.

Before I begin, Thank you Itsy Bitsy for sending the fabulous Design Team Kit. Chalk Paints, Tinted Metallic Paints, Mixed Media Pastes, Burlap Canvas, Little Birdie Flowers, Burlap Stacks…..Ohhhhh and many more.  I loved them all!!

Itsy Bitsy is one matchless store that provides every crafter and artist, most of the supplies needed to pursue their passion. Their home  brand, Little Birdie has been serving crafters all across the globe with great variety of mouth watering stuff at pocket friendly prices. The chalk paints, paper flowers, mixed media pastes and crackle paint is to die for.  Since a few months, I have been getting tempted to use these products and I just couldn’t resist!! I have tried my hands on Little Birdie products and really loved the results. I will be sharing my creations focusing on these products in coming days. Hope you enjoy my craft journey using fabulous products by Little Birdie.

Now, on to my project, I have a scrapbook layout to share using Little Birdie supplies. I have used the chevron pattern from 12″ by 12″ Burlap Stack, White. at the base of the layout along with ta pattern paper on the top half. The pattern paper is hand torn and layered. I picked a focal image of my choice.  I have created many layers using, Little Birdie flowers, Itsy Bitsy chipboards, resins, handmade maple leaves and die cut embellishments. To highlight the burlap, I have especially avoided adding extra textures with texture pastes and simply added few splatters around the focal image with chalk paint, teal, and gesso white.  The Little Birdie flowers are sprayed with various sprays to match the composition and the chipboards and resins are painted using Tinted Metallic Paints.

Here are few detailed images of the complete project.

Drop by some love in the comments section if you like my project. Thanks for stopping by. I will be back again with next project soon.
