Here is a Step by Step project by  Medha Sharma

Hello Everyone,

Today I’ll be sharing a mixed media project with you all.

Materials required:-

  • Canvas Panel
  • White Gesso
  • Chipboards: – Clock, Honeycomb and Gear
  • Embellishments: – Straws, Wooden rings, Wooden button, Bottle cap and Metal spacers
  • Heavy Matt Gel Medium
  • Mixed Media Paste
  • Chalk Paints: – Orange Splash, Frozen Ice and Charcoal
  • Golden Acrylic Paint
  • Spray bottles

Step 1: I took a canvas panel 5”x7” and gave it a coat
of white gesso.

Step 2:

After the gesso dried, I took some clock, honeycomb and gear chipboard, straws, wooden rings and other embellishments from my Itsy Bitsy stash and randomly started placing them on the canvas.

Step 3:

Once everything was arranged, I used Little Birdie Heavy Matt Gel medium to stick all the embellishments.

Step 4:

Then. I diluted Mixed Media Paste (absolutely love this product) with little water and applied it on the entire project.

Step 5: Now comes the time to paint, so I decided to use Orange Splash, Frozen Ice and Charcoal chalk paints in some areas and watered them down with help of a spray bottle and also diluted the chalk paints in water and sprayed here and there. I gave few splashes of white gesso to go with it.

For finishing touches I took little golden acrylic paint on my finger and started applying on the embellishments gently.

Step 6:

Lastly, I added a quote to complete my project.

Hope you guys enjoyed this project as much as I enjoyed making it…cheers!!
