Felt Heart Garland

Hi, Henriette here

Today I am sharing a felt heart garland with you. I’ve made this in a Valentine theme but you can also make one for a nursery for example.

Itsy Bitsy store has many colors of felt available but for my garland I used hot pink, light purple and soft pink felt sheets.

I made 9 hearts, 3 of each color. To cut out the hearts you can use a paper template or heart shaped dies.

With a blanket stitch I sewed two pieces together using embroidery thread in a lighter color than the felt.

Just before the end, I filled up the heart with polyfill and closed it up.

I decorated a few of the hearts with a bow, little felt hearts andĀ  a felt rose.

Then, I threaded the hearts onto a string and in between I added little pompom balls.

It’s a simple but a very cute decoration.

I’ve also made a video of me sewing a felt heart (it’s my very first video, so not perfect and without speaking). Here is a link to the you-tube video.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your comments very much!

Hugs, Henriette.
