Roopashree here with you today! With the festive season on, lets do some creative decor to revamp/redecorate our homes. Here’s a Ganesha wall hanging decor set which I made from my old Ganesha hangings.
I had this set of Ganesha from a long time & they were made of different colors & materials. Thought of giving them a face lift and making them into new and colourful decorative pieces. For this I used minimal products & easy techniques.
step 1:
To begin with, I cleaned them to remove any dust from the surface & applied a coat of black gesso. Allowed it to dry.
Next, I took white chalk paint. Using the dry brush technique, I brushed the paint on the surface and let it dry.
Step 2:
Thereafter, I selected the colours I wanted and painted as I wished. You can pick colours of your choice to go with your decor plan.
Step 3:
Once the paint was dry, I rubbed Little Birdie metallic wax – Copper Blaze using my fingers. The beautiful Ganesha decor set is now ready.
To finish, I sprayed a coat of Little Birdie Artist’s fixative to seal the projects and protect them from the weather and dust.
