Let’s paint an Easy Impressionist Fall Tree!

Hello Lovely people Charu here!

I am back with a very easy peasy canvas art inspired by the very famous Russian-Israeli Artist Leonid Afremov and also the beautiful season of Autumn or Fall.

So let’s begin…

First I splashed the canvas with autumn colors . I used vibrant alcohol splashes ,it’s an easy way to create your background.

When the splashes dried,  next I sketched the tree trunk with pencil like this

Now here comes the fun part ! We are going to make our impressionistic tree with cotton swabs or buds ! This buds give lovely texture and dimension to your trees!

Just dab it on the canvas and have fun . I started with darker values of color like orange and burgundy!

I kept adding more leaves until I felt that the tree has got good volume. Dabbing with cotton bud is so much fun, I kept playing and kept adding more leaves with vibrant colors from Mont Marte acrylics!

This is another fun part to create a birch tree. You can use your discarded credit cards to do this technique. All you have to do is take some color on the credit card and scratch it on the paper vertically like this to create some texture for tree trunk.

And Voila ! here you go ! You are almost done with your fall tree painting!

I added green values beside the tree trunks and some darker tones of burgundy beneath the canopy of yellow leaves. I also painted some black branches with a small brush on the tree trunk( this step is optional).

Your small canvas painting is ready to decorate any corner of your house or the study table .

I loved this technique so much that I painted some wisterias on canvas papers

You should try this fun project , I am sure you will love this technique. You can try some lavender field or a whimsical colorful tree or some grape wines! What say? Sounds a lot of fun…doesn’t it?

Happy painting Folks!

Do share your valuable comments and do message me if you have any doubts.

cheers Charu !
