Pretty in pink altered tin

                                                              Hello crafty peeps,

I am back again today with an altered project to inspire you all….

Have a look at what I am gonna share with you today….

I grabbed a nachos tin from a cafe last week and I loved the tin more than nachos. It was around the same time, I received an amazing DT Kit for February from Itsy Bitsy. The ‘Pretty in  Pink’ paper collection is to die for….February, the month of love, pinks, pastel shades, gifts, ….everything just connected somehow and the idea to alter the tin popped in my head….
Look at the amazing materials I have received and how I used them…..

Get your coffee, sit back and relax… enjoy the tutorial with pics.
     Step1: Apply gesso as a base coat…

Cut papers from Pretty in Pink pack according to the size of the tin
glue layer 1 paper to the tin as shown below.

And now the layer 2, 3 and 4 accordingly. Each layer is 1.5″ less than the other layer. Twist and smudge the edges of the paper layers before sticking them to the tin.

Now, its time to decorate your tin with embellishments. I have used white lace, cord and leftover punched paper as shown in the picture below.

Glue down the flower and green cord using Itsy Bitsy scrapbooking glue.
Add few floral wires as shown below.
Cover the tin lid with the same base paper.
See the top view of the tin. Fan fold a piece of paper and stick the sentiment cut out as shown below…you simply have all the awesomeness that is required this valentine season!!
I have chosen my sentiment as ‘sending love’, as I may use this as a gift box:)

Let’s have a look on overall materials which I have used to make this Pretty in Pink tin.

materials used:
Pretty in paper pack
white and green cord
itsybitsy glue
flowers
white lace
