Soaking in Nature Mixed Media Layout

Hello Ladies…..

Hema here today to share with you my creation, for the first time on ITSY BITSY Blog. Its an honor to be here along with some lovely girls creating some awesome projects and I wanted to share something different from the regular stuff as an inspiration……so this is what I came up with. I hope you guys will like this !!

I received my design team kit with lot of new mediums from the stores along with Little Birdie flowers, stencils, chippies…….but in my project I wanted to highlight the newly launched textures pastes as they give more depth to any project. Hence tried my hands on Grainy Texture paste and Fiber Paste on this project. These pastes are very good for your mixed media projects and the outcome is here which I have shared …..I simply loved the end product.

To begin with, I have used thick chipboard of size 12x12inches and have used corrugated sheet, cut into uneven circles. I adhered two strips with double sided tape and made a pond….Later, I cut small strips of paper cylinder  and added them as steps of the pond.

Used an image of a lady swimming in the pond to go with theme. Next, I cut a small house shape from chipboard and added Little Birdie Grainy Texture Paste over it through the stencil.

Next, added few dry twigs and random patterns with glue gun on to the chipboard.

I then added Little Birdie Crackle Paste and Fiber Paste.

Thereafter, I have applied white gesso all over the board.

Now here, I have sprayed the board with Color Splash colors – Green, Gold and Tangerine.

Next, I sprayed a bit of black gesso….and misted it with misty spray.

I kept spraying the colors till I achieved the color which I needed. Now I have embelished the chipboard with all the embellishments required and as I desired.

I hope you guys like this little share of mine.

Stay tuned for some more lovely inspirations from my team mates!

I have used these supplies from the store to create this project
