Sprinkle Some Glitter! Altered Bottle Art

Happy New Year to you all! Its Ann here….

Lets look at an altered bottle art, up-cycling project today. This project is easy and can be done in a few easy steps.

1. Prepare the surface
Make sure the surface of the bottle is clean and dust free. Apply a coat of gesso.  Gesso prepares (or “primes”) the surface for painting, making the surface slightly textured and ready to accept  paint.

2. Dab metallic paint
Use a sponge dabber to dab Tinted Metallic paint onto the center of the bottle as shown:

3. Dab Chalk Paint
Dab Chalk Paint around the portion that are painted with metallic paint as shown:

4. Add embellishments
Use Little Birdie’s texture tack glue to adhere embellishments to the center. I’m using paper flowers, sequins, glitter, pearls and rhinestones.

Add embellishments of your choice until you are satisfied with the composition and your altered bottle art is ready to flaunt.

Happy Crafting!
