Dream Girl – Mixed Media Card Featuring Little Birdie Metallic Wax

Hi Crafties!

Priyanka Kantak here.

I am back with another inspirational project for the ongoing Itsy Bitsy Blog Challenge #21 : Anything Goes with Little Birdie Metallic Wax.

We all have dreams! Dreams of soaring high, dreams of having it all…

Today, I have a card that tries to illustrate those dreams!

This is my first ever mixed media card!

Read on further to know how I made it…

Lets begin!
Step 1:

On a 5.5 x 6 inches panel of Bright White cardstock, I used the Net stencil with Hot Pink Color Splash.

Step 2:

Next, I cut a paper doily in half & then folded it again and adhered it onto the panel.

Step 3:

I then used the Script stencil with Crackle Paste on the top left corner and the bottom right corner of the panel for added interest.

Step 4:

After this, I glued mixed media strips as shown.

Step 5:

On this, I dabbed Little Birdie Copper Blaze Metallic Wax. It is so smooth to use.

Step 6:

I also dabbed the Copper Blaze Metallic Wax on some gorgeous white Little Birdie handmade flowers.

I then glued them on the panel as seen below :

Step 7:

In the next step, I stamped the images from the Princess and Dragon stamp set. I colored these images with Color Splash and metallic paint.

Step 8:
I pasted these images with glue and some with foam tape to give dimension.
I also stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and glued it on the panel. I distressed the sides of the panel with my scissors and also dabbed Copper Blaze Metallic Wax here and there.

I finally glued the panel to the card base.  And my first ever mixed media card is complete!

Hope you liked my card! Do participate in the ongoing Blog Challenge #21.
